Senior QA Engineer at AppNeta in Remote
We're seeking an experienced, insightful Senior QA Engineer with an obsession for customer experience, to drive a strong quality assurance practice on a team of passionate engineers. Our ideal engineer has an interest in and understanding of application performance, with experience testing and verifying applications with high data sensitivity. Exposure to large distributed system Solving complex horizontal scaling problems Remote first environment with monthly work from home allowances Thorough employee onboarding and training Quarterly and annual bonuses Generous family leave Unlimited vacation and every other Friday off What you'll be doing Understand the different use cases of the application, and represent the customer's view in the team; Build and implement test plans with prioritized test cases that are driven by a deep understanding of how the solution is built and used by end users Execute functional, performance and regression testing Take responsibility for ensuring the delivery meets quality standards Track and manage defects found during testing Support, extend and optimize existing testing solutions Collaborate closely with the team to identify the optimal way to cover new functionality with automated tests - to be implemented by the Test Automation Engineers Manage your tasks according to project deadlines, team priorities and risks What you'll bring to the table Solid understanding of networking (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, etc) and how the web works User-level Experience with Unix/Linux systems (e.g. search logs, understand networking configurations, etc.) An understanding of application performance monitoring techniques Demonstrable ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly A self-starter who is able to work independently, meet project deadlines, and clearly communicate risks.
