CNC Set Up Specialist Weekend Shift

This position is responsible for setup, troubleshooting, and validating machining processes that focus on safety and bring value in accordance with requirements of the Basin Production System.
Individuals in this role are responsible for working with fellow departments, as well as offering guidance and mentorship to peers in order to improve overall area knowledge and effectivity.
Work Hours:
5am-5:
30pm Friday through Sunday; all hours worked over 36 are overtime.
Pay commensurate with experience.
Must be authorized to work in the US.
Basin Precision Machining utilizes E-Verify.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Perform scheduled activities as assigned in setup and production planning meetings.
These activities could include setup, process correction, process refinement, peer mentoring, work-center production, cross-department communication.
Demonstrate advance understanding and effective use of measuring tools (digital and manual), hand tools, machine tools, workholders, toolholders, and cutting tools associated with machining and manufacturing.
Alone, or in partnership with engineering staff, plan, organize and formulate programs for modern digital machine tools with appropriate workholding and speeds and feeds solutions for the materials being machined.
Perform or verify presetting of cutting tools and prepare set-up activities prior to starting a set-up.
Demonstrate ability to safely and effectively setup new, recurrent, and one-off jobs independently per scheduling requirements.
In coordination with engineering, adjust machine tool offsets, program, work-holding, tooling parameters, and loading-unloading processes for sale, efficient machining operations.
Record detailed notes on set-up effectivity and provide solutions and suggestions on improvements to processes.
Control production materials in various stages of set-up, including proper marking and tagging as required.
Recognize improper machine operation, take corrective action, and provide detailed information to resolve discrepancies.
Perform basic and intermediate machine tool troubleshooting and maintenance functions, such as replenishing fluids, changing accessible filters, recovering from operational error states, spindle and turret inspection, proper motion evaluation, and effectively reporting damage to maintenance staff and management.
Familiarity or experience with the following software tools a plus:
Microsoft Access, Word, Power Point and Excel Solidworks or equivalent CAD software (2014
strongly preferred) ESPRIT or equivalent CAM software (2014
strongly preferred CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Vertical, Horizontal or Lathe CNC Machine experience preferred.
OTHER SKILL, ABILITIES, AND
Qualifications:
Advanced experience with 2012
Mazak (Matrix & Smart), Okuma, Makino, and Fanuc controls.
Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Machinist Apprenticeship program (such as NIMS Machinist Certification), or demonstrate equivalent trade experience in machinist role.
Have previous experience with 3+, 4
axis positional milling, 2
axis turning (Mill-turn experience a plus).
Have 5 or more years of recent, post apprenticeship experience as an active Machinist, utilizing modern CNC machine tools.
Demonstrate advanced comprehension of G&M code programming -- understanding of Mazak, Makino, and Okuma code optimizations and macros a plus.
Ability to self-motivate, manage personal time effectively, and estimate one's own time to completion accurately.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
