Quality Technician - CMM Programmer- 2nd shift

Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Program and operate the CMM.
  • Develop inspection procedures to measure engineering requirements.
  • Train lab personnel on measurement techniques for the CMM.
  • Report on inspection sample status.
  • Prioritize the flow of inspection sample based on identified need.
  • Support Gage R+R studies
  • Investigate, document and resolve issues related to the CMM
  • Nonconforming material containment
  • Create Nonconforming Material Reports (NMR) and identify Corrective Action Opportunities (CAR).
  • Submit Engineering Change Requests (ECR).
  • Support employee quality training programs and communications.
  • Identify quality improvements, cost reduction opportunities, and design change suggestions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED);
  • 2 years experience programming and operating a CMM
  • 2 years experience utilizing a variety of mechanical gaging.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to train others and modify training to accommodate learning preferences
  • Demonstrated skills in interpreting blueprint drawings;
  • GD+T interpretation experience;
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Experiencing making basic program edits to existing CMM programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PC-DMIS software experience
  • ASQ Quality Certification
  • Associates Degree in related field

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to use hands to manipulate objects, tools or controls and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to walk; stoop; crouch; bend and reach above shoulders. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance, waist high, up to 10 feet away. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Temperatures can vary from cool to warm depending upon the season. The employee must comply with the assigned location PPE requirements including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, appropriate gloves, clothing and shields for required tasks and closed toed or safety shoes as required by facility safety policies.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
