Maintenance Supervisor

Generac Power Systems ? Work with the leader in the power industry! Generac is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor at the Jefferson WI Facility.
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for managing the planning, configuration, construction, and alteration of equipment, machinery. Maintenance Supervisor manages the output of jobs through the maintenance shop, and manages all rework projects that come to the maintenance shop from manufacturing, coordinates with manufacturing engineering/industrial engineering in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings, reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs; inspects or directs the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules. This position reports directly to the Maintenance and Facilities Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate activities of team.
Develops written programs/procedures for maintenance shop activities.
Senior machine operator of all equipment in maintenance shop.
Repairs, or replaces in-process production equipment, in response to requests.
Welding and fabrication of machines, guarding, structures and holding mechanisms.
Hydraulic machine design.
Air powered machine design.
Recommends incorporation of new technology for company application where feasible and practical.
Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.
Manage all rework requests from manufacturing.
Deals with outside contractors for servicing/repair of all maintenance shop machines that are on a scheduled PM program.
Manage all consumables needed for maintenance shop use.
Selects, coaches and develops staff. Sets clear expectations to inspire and motivate the team. Manages performance-- recognizing achievement, providing feedback and administering progressive discipline when necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and two years manufacturing experience or equivalent related experience in operations;
8+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting;
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook);
Effective communication skills;
Ability to read blue prints;
Extensive knowledge of assembly process, inventory management system (MRP), coil winding and varnishing processes, sheet metal fabrication and powder coat paint processes safe work environment promotion.
Preferred Qualifications:
World class manufacturing (Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and 5S) experience.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to use hands to manipulate objects, tools or controls; and talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to walk; stoop; crouch; bend and reach above shoulders. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance, waist high, up to 10 feet away. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be working in the typical conditions of a manufacturing environment including seasonal variation in temperatures and occasional exposure to manufacturing fumes or by-products. The employee must comply with the assigned location PPE requirements including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, appropriate gloves, clothing and shields for required tasks and closed toed or safety shoes as required by facility safety policies.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
