Residential Training Specialist

Overview
Generac Power Systems ? Work with the leader in the power industry! Our office in Jefferson, WI is seeking a Residential Training Specialist.
The Residential Training Specialist is responsible for content preparation and delivery of training for new and existing employees in the Customer Support and Sales department, covering current Generac products, as well as new products in preparation for launch. Classes are focused on product feature/benefit stories and tier 1 troubleshooting, using hands-on and classroom techniques. In this key role you will coordinate with corporate and dealer training resources and conduct post-training surveys and needs assessments.
Responsibilities
Create and deliver Product, Systems and Process and Business training curriculum to employees and Subject Matter Experts (Train the Trainer).
Plan, develop and implement training programs for employees.
Conduct needs assessments to identify training options.
Present baseline technical information such as product and sizing, training on key selling skills, marketing the products, effective communication, etc.
Create, maintain and implement diagnostic troubleshooting for the customer support team.
Track and analyze success of training program through training assessments to trend and reduce turnover and create dashboards.
Maintain all training documentation, keeping it current and up to date.
Serves as a change agent for the Customer Support organization by identifying and executing continuous improvement efforts and partnering with Customer Support leadership.
Act as SAP Super User within functional area as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree OR equivalent experience
2 years of experience in similar role conducting technical or sales training;
Preferred Qualificaitons:
Ability to train others regarding the features of a technical product
Previous experience training others regarding the features of a technical product.
Proven track record of learning course content and delivery in a classroom setting
Ability to act proactively, independently and decisively to quickly assess needs and identify logical solutions
Ability to prioritize multiple projects with shifting priorities, moving deadlines in a fast paced environment
Experience using Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Word, Excel)
Excellent interpersonal skills including communication (written and verbal)
Exceptional level of attention to detail, follow through and organizational skills
Previous experience using SAP or equivalent ERP.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job include are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
