Vehicle Description One of the great things about buying luxury cars is that they typically have received great care.
When I find a car with such low mileage as this one, it is often original and in fantastic condition.
This car certainly is all of that.
The 1983 Oldsmobile Toronado Brougham was the most expensive Oldsmobile.
When equipped as well as this one is, the retail price approached $20000.
This is one of the cars that you can still buy for less than the price it was sold for when new.
In this case, for less than one half of the new selling price.
This Toronado is equipped with the durable 307 Oldsmobile Rocket V8 engine.
The transmission is the Turbo Hydramatic 325-4L, which is a transmission with overdrive built for front wheel drive cars like the Toronado.
This car is loaded with power options including power steering and disc brakes, power windows and locks, power seat, power trunk release and power antenna.
Ironically, the antenna is the only feature of this car that doesn't work.
The good news is that there is a new power antenna in the box awaiting installation.
In addition, the options include Rear Defroster, Cornering Lamps, Courtesy Lamps, Bright moldings, Soft Ray glass, Dual remote outside mirrors, Automatic Leveling and Wire Wheel Covers.
It also has factory floor mats, AM/FM/Cassette stereo, Cruise Control, Tilt Steering and Air Conditioning.
The features on this car all work great with exception of the afore mentioned antenna.
The radio barely picks up a station without it.
There are two sets of keys.
The jack, wrench and spare tire are stowed properly.
All locks work as they should.
The odometer reading of 46, 547 is believed to be original, but cannot be verified.
The condition of the car definitely supports the previous owner's claim that the mileage is actual.
The weather seals are all in nice condition, there is no rust, the interior is MINT and the pedals and carpet show minimal wear.
I am confident that you will agree.
The beautiful Dark Maple Metallic paint is all original with exception of the bumper fillers.
They have been repainted.
The matching Landau top is original.
The matching upholstery has certainly not been replaced.
This is a stunning car with complete originality.
Recently, new Michelin tires were installed.
The belts and battery are also recent.
The car starts, runs and drives wonderfully.
The A/C blows ice cold, the Cruise works and all lights work properly.
The trunk is ready for the Car Show.
It is clean and as original.
The engine bay mimics the trunk.
It is very attractive and not showing any sign of high mileage.
This car has certainly been garage kept its entire life.
It started life in Chicago.
It came to me from Iowa.
It does not show any sign of winter driving, as the there is no rust to be found.
The undercarriage was coated when new and has been well preserved.
The plugs from rustproofing are in the door jambs, so that investment has paid off well.
This is a car to be proud of.
It looks amazing.
It drives exceptionally well and rides like you are on a cloud.
It will be well received at any car show.
But most importantly, it should be driven and enjoyed.
This luxurious Oldsmobile has certainly and obviously received great care.
I am hopeful that you will continue to be a good caretaker.
It was an expensive car when new and deserves a life of leisure and luxury.
